Kay Hicks Design offers a full range of interior design services in both the East and West Valley. With over 16 years designing Southern California homes, we bring a wealth of experience, service and professionalism to each project.

NEW BUILD

In addition to the design process, Kay's accomplished understanding of the construction and build process benefits both the client and builder. Respect for timelines and deliverables is crucial to a seamless process. We have a bit of a different take than most designers but we'll chat about that when you call!!

FULL REMODEL

Before and afters are so satisfying! A remodel says you're ready for change. The transformation from old to new is so exciting! Be it a full remodel including architectural changes or simpler renovations inside four walls... it's a fresh landscape!

facelifts

It could be as simple as painting your walls or getting rid of older furnishings. Maybe you're stuck on a color scheme or have no idea what to put on your walls. Even lighting can create a whole new look. There are simple ways to transform a space and we love the challenge.

Let's have a phone call to get a general idea of your needs. I'll have many questions for you such as.... are there kids, pets? Main home or vacation home? What is your favorite color and do you lean towards circles or squares? It's a basic introduction to a long term friendship.

NEXT ITS COFFEE....

If we've decided we want to work together, first step is to meet to review the project. There might be architectural plans I need, early renderings, images and magazine cut-outs you have pulled. Any and all information to get started is needed. I also like to go on a quick shopping field trip to see what you migrate to. What do you lean towards and what do you run from.

hit the ground running...

From here on the design is an ongoing process from concept thru implementation to the completion of your project. Each project is unique customized to your needs! Your home is a reflection of you!

fees, charges and all that stuff.....

new build:

Because my clients have preferred to have me available and working throughout the whole design/build phases, I have found it beneficial for all to work on a flat monthly fee. It has served myself and clients well. No keeping track of minutes and hours... I am yours for the asking. Those late night phone sessions shopping online together? Yes, it's all part of the contract.

remodels:

This is easier for you and I to gauge our time together in executing the project and can be contracted on an hourly basis. However, if its an extensive, project Kay Hicks Design is happy to talk about what works best for both of us!

facelifts:

Because of the smaller (yet impactful and transformative) scope, Kay Hicks Design charges an hourly design fee for these services be it consulting, shopping or implementing.
